Laura Russom Click for More InfoLaura Russom is a passionate and dedicated dance teacher who has been teaching since the age of fourteen. She has been dancing since the age of three and won numerous awards and titles while competing. She also danced with the Joffery Ballet, in the role of Clara’s friend, and with The San Francisco Ballet in the role of Arabian. After high school, she was a member of the national award winning Long Beach State Dance Team. She also was a member of the Los Angeles Laker Girls for two years. In addition she has appeared in numerous commercials, including Target and Subway, and television shows, including dancing in the opening number of The Emmy Awards on CBS. She currently teaches lyrical, jazz, modern, ballet and pointe. She has a strong ballet background and believes good ballet technique is the core of every good dancer.

Danielle Luna BraithwaiteDanielle Luna Braithwaite- Miss Luna began her dance training at the age of three. She joined Youth America Ballet at age 11 and began competing with local competition teams. Danielle received her jazz, lyrical, and modern training from Cheryl Klaft. She earned her classical ballet training with Victor and Tatiana Kasatsky, former principals of the Moscow Classical Ballet in Russia. After training as a classical and commercial dancer for eight years, Miss Luna began dancing with the SCHS Dance team, her team earned four national titles.

Jason MartinJason Martin- is originally from Fairfield, CA and received his training at Dance Direction under Lisa Clark Schmeling. At the age of seven, he began training in styles such as jazz, ballet, modern, tap, contemporary and hip hop. Jason is a Senior at Chapman University, studying to get his B.F.A. in Dance Performance. Since moving out to Southern California three years ago, some of Jason’s credits include: ENTITY Contemporary Dance Company member, Team Shaka President at Chapman University and 2nd Runner Up at the Capezio A.C.E. Awards. As a teacher, Jason currently works as a choreographer/teacher for Visions Dance Company, LLC. and has taught ENTITY Contemporary Dance’s Company class at Edge Performing Arts Center. In regards to his future, Jason intends on graduating in 2017, moving out to Los Angeles and pursuing a professional dance career!

Christie Ann BengtsonChristie Ann Bengtson- Christie Ann has been dancing since the age of two and has won numerous awards and titles in her competition years. She has also choreographed competition routines, and has studied jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, contemporary and hip hop. She also competed in pageants as a model, singer and dancer. In addition, at the age of eight she premiered as a Radio Disney Event performer and also went to New York to study broadway and musical theater.

Meg IamaMeg Iwama – Meg was born and raised in Southern California, where she began her dance training at age 6. She danced competitively for 6 years, winning numerous awards, training under Laura Russom, Lissa Johnson, Bobby Amamizu, and many more. In high school, Meg was part of the Northwood Dance Theater being its Co-Captain her senior year and also being involved in Northwood Song for 3 years leading one season as competition captain.

Chad Van RamshorstChad Van Ramshorst is originally from Southern California where he started his training at the Orange County High School of the Arts. He continued his dance education at Chapman University where he received his BFA in Dance Performance. While in California, Chad danced with various companies including Bare Dance Company, Backhaus Dance, and Gallimaufry & Greene. From 2010-2012, Chad lived in New York, dancing for such companies and artists as: Korhan Basaran, Zvi Gotheiner, Bryn Cohn & Artists, and Steele Dance. Now back in California, Chad is currently attending Chapman University’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program. Tara GhasseiehTara Ghasseieh began her training in Huntington Beach, California at Orange County Dance Center. There she trained in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, hip hop, and contemporary, but Tara’s main focus and love was for ballet. Through her 10 years of training at Orange County Dance Center she achieved many honors, titles and awards, including, first all around soloist at Showstoppers Nationals, Finalist at Youth American Grand Prix Nationals, Teen Miss Dance of America 2004 for Dance Masters of America, and National Training Scholar for American Ballet Theatre for 3 years, just to name a few.

Hannah SchillerHannah Schiller– Ballet, Pre-pointe, Pointe -Hannah will be another new addition to our VDC Staff teaching ballet and pointe. Miss Hannah has an extensive knowledge and experience in the professional ballet world and we are excited for her to share with the students her love of ballet and the need for a strong ballet technique.

Lexi AscherLexi Ascher As the youngest member of the VDC Staff, Lexi is excited to share her passion! Dancing since the age of three, she currently trains in the styles of ballet, lyrical, jazz, contemporary, and acrobatics. She has been dancing competitively for the past 5 years and has performed in the ballet production, The Sound of Music with the Montage Youth Dance Theater. Lexi has attended summer intensives with Maple Ballet Conservatory as well. Lexi is extremely excited to be teaching classes at VDC this year so she can share her love of dance.

Adia NunoAdia Nuño is excited to share her passion for dance, movement, and health at Visions Dance Company! After graduating from Cal. State Fullerton with a B.S in Kinesiology, a Minor in Health Science, and her California teaching credential, Adia spent the last 10 years living out her passion working with young women as a high school cheerleading coach. Following 15 years of gymnastic and competitive cheer experience, Adia gained a new passion for achieving fitness results through ZUMBA! She is excited to be able to share her passion for fitness, health, and dance with all who are willing to participate. Adia has had the honor of performing in a number of televised productions including Gwen Stefani’s “Hollerback Girl” music video and the Ghost Whisperer: Episode- “Mean Ghost”. Adia is blessed to be happily married to her wonderful husband, Ivan. Together they celebrate the gift of their children Aaron, Avalon, and Abel. She attributes every good thing in her life to her God and Savior, Jesus Christ, through whom all her success and every breath comes from.  Luke 1:37 “Nothing is impossible with God”
