Her teaching style includes consistently pushing the dancers’ boundaries to strive to work harder. She believes in good technique and challenging her students with new dance moves. Teaching dance is not just a job for Miss Laura – it is her passion.

She has won many numerous awards, including Most Creative and Best Technique, for her choreography and her dances. She puts 110% into her teaching and her choreography. Miss Laura says that choreography is not just about putting moves to music; instead it is a way for the dancer to communicate an emotion or tell a story through their dancing to the audience. She works hard to keep her classes both fun and challenging for the dancers. Miss Laura can be quoted by most of her students as saying “It doesn’t matter how high your leg is or how many turns you do; if your toe isn’t pointed, it doesn’t count!”

She currently lives in Irvine with her husband and their two sons. She says that besides being a mom, being a dance teacher is the greatest job on Earth!
