Jessica Cortez

Jessica is excited to share in the experience of teaching dance at Visions Dance Company. Jessica has participated in Jr. high and High school cheerleading where she has competed in both regional and national cheer competitions. She has also competed with a nationally ranked professional hip hop team where she got to perform in one of her favorite dance styles.

Jessica has studied various dance styles including hip-hop, cheer-hop, modern, tap, jazz, salsa, merengue, and cumbia. She has choreographed routines for traditional Hispanic Quinceaneras including the waltz. She is passionate about coaching and leading children to express themselves through dance and cheer. Jessica’s experience in gymnastics includes working for TEAM OC Gymnastics for 6 years where she coached their young girls’ academy. Jessica has been coaching high school cheerleading in Irvine for the last 7 years and is certified through AACCA and USASF. She’s taught tumbling and private lessons, as well as led numerous summer camps that included gymnastics, dance, and cheer training for children of all ages.

Professionally, she is pursuing a career in Diagnostics Medical Sonography. Her dream is to bring joy to expecting mothers through ultrasound. She also has a heartfelt desire to be able to give back by placing a smile on expecting mothers’ faces in third world countries as her ministry.

Jessica is currently a Sunday school teacher in Corona. She recently volunteered on a mission trip that traveled to Haiti to help care for children in an orphanage there. Her compassion for children is one of a kind. She finds joy in serving and being God’s hands and feet no matter where she is.
