Adia Nuno

Adia Nuño is excited to share her passion for dance and looks forward to the opportunity to educate and train students in order to enhance their dance technique, develop athletic skills, provide an atmosphere of positive self esteem, as well as assist in the development of positive and healthy lifestyles.

As a dance enthusiast, Adia has trained in the arts of gymnastics, ballet, cheer-hop, and Zumba. She earned the title of USA National Cheerleading Individual Champion in high school and continued to rank high in all of her professional competitive experiences. Through her pursuit to become a master Zumba instructor, Adia has done home-studies in various forms of Latin dance including merengue, salsa, cumbia, samba, flamenco, cha cha, quebradita, and lambada.

After graduating from Cal. State Fullerton with a B.S in Kinesiology, a Minor in Health Science, and her California teaching credential, Adia spent ten years living out her passion working with young women as a high school cheerleading coach. Following 15 years of gymnastic and competitive cheer experience, Adia gained a new passion for achieving fitness results through ZUMBA! She is excited to be able to share her passion for fitness, health, and dance with all who are willing to participate. Adia has had the honor of performing in a number of televised productions including Gwen Stefani’s “Hollerback Girl” music video and the Ghost Whisperer: Episode- “Mean Ghost”.

Professionally, Adia has been an involved member of various athletic, fitness, dance, and cheerleading associations including F.I.T.A, AACCA, ZIN, U.S.AS.F., and A.F.A.A. She has trained under a diverse group of dance and cheerleading master instructors including Rey Lozano, Laura Russom, Cris Stuart, and Eric Anderson. She has served on staff for US Spiritleaders as wells as assorted judging panels and coach’s clinics.

Adia is blessed to be happily married to her wonderful husband, Ivan. Together they celebrate the gift of their children Aaron, Avalon, and Abel. She attributes everything in her life to her God and Savior, Jesus Christ, through whom all her success and every breath comes from.
